As part of our commitment to celebrating those who make a difference, Ampirical is proud to recognize Justin Laurent, Network Cyber Security Analyst I, as our 2024 Volunteer of the Year. Justin has gone above and beyond in dedicating his time and energy to serving others, logging the most volunteer hours this year. His selflessness and dedication to various causes embody the true spirit of volunteerism that fuels Ampirical’s mission.
Justin’s volunteer work has been both diverse and personal, reflecting his passion for building stronger communities. When asked about what volunteering means to him, Justin shared:
“Volunteering is something that puts me at peace with everything. All of my stresses, worries, and anxieties just sort of melt away. In a sense, it allows me to take a step back and re-examine what’s truly important in life—building relationships with those around you. And I’m truly blessed to be part of a company that puts forth the effort to recognize that by creating opportunities to give back to our communities.”
One cause particularly close to Justin’s heart is the Epilepsy Alliance of Louisiana. His youngest sister was diagnosed with epilepsy during her freshman year of college.
“Watching her struggle with the realities of her diagnosis has been tough for our family. But as we began to understand what we needed to do, things are beginning to return to normal. And I want that for other families dealing with loved ones who have epilepsy. That’s why I chose the Epilepsy Alliance of Louisiana. Their work in seizure education, first aid training, and community-building efforts is invaluable.”
In recognition of his outstanding commitment to volunteerism, Ampirical is awarding Justin $2,500 to donate to the charity of his choice. Justin has chosen to direct the donation to the Epilepsy Alliance of Louisiana, furthering their mission to provide education, support, and resources for individuals and families affected by epilepsy.
