COVINGTON, La. — Ampirical is pleased to announce that it has been selected to host the 2027 Annual Conference of the Substation Design Solution Industry Consortium (SDSIC), taking place May 24–27, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana.
SDSIC is a collaborative organization made up of member utilities and contract and design firms united by a shared commitment to driving innovation and standardization in utility substation design. Through member engagement and shared expertise, the Consortium works to establish common workflows, toolkit functionality, shared libraries, and industry standards that advance the design, engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of utility projects.
The annual conference serves as the premier gathering for SDSIC members and industry professionals, providing a forum for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advancing the technologies and workflows that shape the future of substation design. The 2027 event is expected to draw approximately 500 attendees from utilities, engineering firms, and industry partners across the country.
This marks the first time Ampirical has served as host of the SDSIC Annual Conference — a reflection of the company’s standing within the consortium and its deep expertise in substation engineering and design.
New Orleans’ Hyatt Regency, located in the heart of the city, will provide a premier setting for the four-day event.
