Ampirical provides transmission engineering for new construction, rebuilds, relocations, and system hardening across 69 kV to 500 kV. Our work blends detailed modeling with practical understanding of construction methods, material availability, and long‑term system performance.
We begin with route development, using survey data, LiDAR, environmental constraints, and station interface requirements to evaluate feasible alternatives. During conceptual design, we compare structure types, conductor arrangements, clearances, and cost impacts to help clients select an efficient and reliable solution. As we move into detailed design, PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE models allow us to refine structure loading, conductor behavior, sag and tension, clearances, galloping risks, and foundation requirements. We prepare plan and profile drawings, staking sheets, assembly drawings, and complete material lists suitable for bidding and construction.
Utilities rely on Ampirical for clear, accurate designs that minimize field changes and avoid unnecessary cost. We frequently support new corridors, transmission tie‑ins for data centers and renewable generation, storm‑hardening programs, uprating projects, and relocations driven by development or DOT needs. Throughout development and construction, we provide permitting support, RFI responses, construction inspection, material management, and field coordination.
